Fujitsu Siemens Computers hat sich der "Mobile Broadband"-Initiative der GSM Association (GSMA) angeschlossen. Die GSMA repräsentiert als globale Vereinigung die Interessen von über 750 GSM-Mobilfunkanbietern in 218 Ländern sowie über 200 Herstellern und Zulieferern weltweit. Sie hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Entwicklung und Verbreitung von mobiler Breitbandtechnologie rund um den Globus zu unterstützen und sicherzustellen, dass Mobiltelefone und Wireless Services weltweit nutzbar sind. Fujitsu Siemens Computers unterstützt ab sofort die GSMA in der Entwicklung eines "Mobile Broadband"-Logo, einer Art internationalem Gütesiegel. Es soll in Zukunft Geräte auszeichnen, die per sofort für Mobile Broadband betriebsbereit sind. Die Initiative wird von mehr als 17 der führenden IT- und Telekommunikationsunternehmen weltweit getragen. Das Logo soll im Handel, auf der Verpackung and auf den Produkten selbst zum Einsatz kommen und dem Nutzer überall dort Netzverbindung garantieren, wo Breitband-Abdeckung gewährleistet ist.
Entry into the "Mobile Broadband" initiative of the GSMA
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has joined the "Mobile Broadband" initiative of the GSM Association (GSMA). As a global association, the GSMA represents the interests of over 750 GSM mobile communications providers in 218 countries as well as over 200 manufacturers and suppliers worldwide. They have set the goal of supporting the development and distribution of mobile broadband technology around the globe and guaranteeing that mobile phones and wireless services can be used worldwide.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is now supporting the GSMA with the development of a "Mobile Broadband" logo in the form of an international quality seal. In the future, it will distinguish devices that are immediately ready for mobile broadband use. The initiative will be backed by more than 17 of the leading IT and telecommunications companies worldwide. The logo should be used in the retail market on packaging and on the products themselves, and guarantee the user a network connection everywhere where broadband coverage is ensured.
